But it's more likely than what it should be. Keep in mind, since then I have played many other games that are just-as and considerably more intensive on the CPU-side than Civ 6 and everything else runs smoothly and without issue (again, my PC is far beyond min. My suspicion is, given when the crashes always happen - on AI processing - that there is something not quite right with how Civ VI divvies processing if something in the background is also taking up CPU 'attention,' because I noticed the crashes happened more often when I was running idle Chrome tabs in the background. My computer is far, far beyond minimum specs, and this game is literally the only game I have had crashing issues with from then-and-since, and I've run the entire gambit of cleaning mod cache and file caches, running completely modless, removing old C++ redistributables, etc. I have had, and continue to have, crashing issues since the Ethiopia patch. I recommend not taking on more than one mod at a time and report back here and civ fanatics if and when you find one that causes a problem. And I'd agree be very cautious with mpds. In fact I"d say the overwhelming majority do not have an issue with crashing. It works for me and my friends and I hope it does for you too if you choose to purchase the game. This can and does cause problems which you have to work through, especially with mods, which can require a trial and error process to sort out what is causing any problems you may encounter. That and lots of us like to use Mods to enhance our gaming experiences. The hard part to all of this is that CIV VI does require a robust computer that meets and/or exceeds the minimum specifications required by the game. Most people can play both Single Player and MultiPlayer CIV VI without issues. Most people are NOT experiencing the level of crashes some report.
